Menius, Inc. (“Menius,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Menius Roadmap Chrome extension and the website at menius.ai. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and how we protect it.

1. What Menius Roadmap Does

Menius Roadmap is a personalized AI literacy course delivered through a Chrome browser extension. It guides you through hands-on exercises on AI chatbot websites (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Grok) and tracks your progress along a personalized learning path displayed in the browser side panel.

2. Information We Collect and How We Use It

• Account information — your email address and a unique user ID (via Google OAuth) to identify your account
• Learning progress — lesson completion status, attempt data, and your personalized roadmap
• Preferred chatbot — which AI chatbot you chose for exercises (to set default)
• Conversation messages — during active lesson exercises only, we read the visible messages on the chatbot page (your messages and the AI's responses). This data is used to evaluate exercise completion and to improve dynamic lesson generation for your personalized learning path. We never read conversations outside of active exercises or on unsupported sites.
• Session logs — structural data about exercise flow (steps reached, timing, errors). These do not contain conversation content.

The extension also stores your auth session, active lesson state, and cached configurations locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share data only with the following third-party service providers, and only as needed to operate the service:

The extension communicates only with menius.ai. Our server then relays data to the providers listed above as needed to operate the service.

We may disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a valid court order or legal process.

4. Data Security

All communications between the extension and our server use HTTPS encryption. Authentication tokens are stored securely in Chrome's session storage. Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

• Account data and learning progress are retained for as long as you have an active account.
• Conversation messages are retained and used to improve lesson generation for your personalized learning path.
• Session logs are retained for up to 12 months, then deleted.
• Local browser storage is cleared when you uninstall the extension or clear your browser data.

To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at lucasfedronic@gmail.com. We will process your request within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You can stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it. Menius Roadmap is intended for adults; we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Chrome Web Store Compliance

The extension requests only the permissions necessary to operate: activeTab and tabs (to interact with chatbot pages during exercises), storage (to save session and lesson state locally), sidePanel (to display your learning roadmap), and host access to the four supported chatbot sites and menius.ai. We do not request access to all websites or your browsing history.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

8. Changes and Contact

We may update this policy from time to time and will update the “Last Updated” date above. For significant changes, we will notify you through the extension or by email.
